Life Long Learning
The Why Workshops came about through a perceived need for intergenerational conversations about the issues that effect us all. Following the BREXIT vote we became aware of how differently each generation thought and perceived political issues. We thought that there was a need to bring the younger and older generation together to share their differing views and experiences with the aim of each generation gaining a better understanding of each other. Also to share each other's experience and knowledge. We thought that the effective way of achieving this was by bring existing groups together at a community level, using libraries and the workshop approach.
This project was a collaborative piece of work with Ruth Irvine and Evangelina Papadopoulos.
We have been shortlisted for the RSA student awards.
